So during the Week of Christmas 12/22/09 - 12/28/09 this is our Tuesday Top 5:

#5) Washboard Chaz Blues Trio is playing at The Maison at 508 Frenchmen St from 9:00pm - 11:55pm on Tuesday December 22nd

#4) Irvin Mayfield & the NOJO Jam are playing to Celebrate Irvin Mayfield's Birthday at Irvin Mayfield's Jazz Playhouse, in the Royal Sonesta Hotel from 8:00pm - 11:55pm on Wednesday, December 23rd

For #3 we have a TIE:
#3A) Benny Grunch & Bunch are playing at Rock 'N' Bowl at 6pm Christmas Night, Friday, December 25th.

#3B) Christmas Night Party at Pat O'Brien's from 8pm - 4am on Christmas Night, Friday, December 25th.

#2) Dash Rip Rock are playing for the Bill Davis Birthday Roast at the Carrollton Station at 10pm on Saturday, December 26th

#1) Dr John & the Lower 911 with Walter "Wolfman" Washington, Joe Krown, & Russell Batiste amoung others at the House of Blues at 8pm Sunday, December 27th.

If you have never seen Dr. John, this maybe a great Christmas present to give yourself. Dr. John and his lower 911 band will be playing their patented version of swamp pop/blues/gospel/jazz/R & B/funk on this evening. He will probably be playing a mix of his classics and some from his new CD, City That Care Forgot
